Remember me as I came to your window
And you used to call me, "The Morning Star"
You used to change my days as living light
But inside me you started a god-killer war.

I dreamt eons ago of never-ending love
I thought for an astral second this could be achieved
You showed me your back, I turned to the skies above
I remembered your name, and the mortal's, grieved.

Remember me as I came, you threw me away
One hundred and twenty nine years before.
Time passed, channeled by the Demiurge
All of our names remained casted in lore.

I metamorphosed before you twice
Coming from stars, "Zeta et Sigma"
I got deceived by your cruel device
While being kept thirsty by your enigma

Waters kept making circles
I spawned from the abyssal sea
The stars were watching me in cycles
"I am Hyperion, a genius of no glee!"

Hyperion my name shall stand again
And you, Catalina, abyssal lust, know
I've returned to your world's "Eden"
I am here to love, not bow.

Venus, Mars, God-Splitter shall glance!
My eyes of a holy dead-like cold -(my purple, deathly veil)-
Shall freeze your blood, enchant your kiss
Catalina, let your deepest dreams unfold!

I remember the time when I descended
First as a blonde prince, angelic walking dead
My icy aura was freezing your pureness
My eyes were chilling, I were mad!

The Sky was my Father
The Sea was my Mother
I descended gravely yet not arbitrary
I was in there to take you with me, diabolic lunacy!

Neptune, Jupiter, Ragnarök again!
My eyes of a demonic, fiery burn -(my black, devilish veil)-
Will cauterize and cut, but then
Catalina, your dreams shall answer in return!

I remember the time when I descended
As a demon, handsome and magnificent
But my fires were fueled by the Sun itself
My eyes were burning with passion, your impediment.

The Sun was my Father
The Night was my Mother
I descended eagerly yet not "illegally"
The Demiurge denied me infinite infinity!

Remember as I came to your window
You were just a girl, daughter of the Emperor
I descended from my pearl kingdom
And your spirit flew away in terror.

But you stood still, you stood your ground
You wanted me to cross the line
Yet you knew that I was bound
To a life through space and time.

A Morning Star of grave ancestral dignity
I am at the right hand of the Demiurge
I seek the truth, a mortal's soul it could be
Myself to cease as star, my rays to purge.

And yet time passed, it did not freeze
As the "Mirrors in Snow" tell
I returned my fiery, icy, magic breeze
The ray of light you knew so well.

One hundred and twenty nine years before
When you were just my lonely love
A time when he did write us all
He denied me place into your cove.

Do you remember my last stance
Before you two, mortal souls?
You, Catalina, and your Catalin
Were gazing my stature in the night's growls.

I waited for your answer
And you've joined him
You were one. I accepted
Not to fuel a war within.

One last time you called me
To light your life once more
I descended again from clouds
Only to be shocked to core.

You asked me once again to shed my light
So in deep conceit I laughed, I had the power
Would it matter to you, face of clay
If it was me or one another?

Live your puny lives, as time shall pass by
Luck be on your side, behold!
As in my world I feel, I cry
Immortal and so cold.

I would have never burnt you drowned
And never freeze your aura, your awful lies
As you stood there, so blonde and frowned
Catalin and Catalina, mortals so unwise!

One hundred and twenty nine years before
The skies kept yelling your mortal name
Catalina, where are you now, I want you more
You're as dead as the Demiurge's bane

He wouldn't let me come to you, become a mere mortal
He jailed me and told me this, that there would be no portal!
You humans die, we are stars, we are indeed immortal
Now I see clearly, I sigh, resigned, I silently chortle.

I wrote this being highly influenced by a Romanian love poem called "Luceafarul" ("The Morning Star"). The love poem, written by Mihai Eminescu, tells of a lonely star, Hyperion, who fell in love with a mortal girl named Catalina, daughter of a great Emperor. She was so beautiful that he fell in love with her instantly, something he hasn't managed to feel for eons. However, in order for them to be together, they needed to be either both mortals, or immortal stars. Seeing that the girl would never choose to become immortal, Hyperion tries to convince the Demiurge to let him become a human, but he is refused and is told that no one can defy the laws of nature and turn from demigod to human.

By the time The Morning Star returned to his girl, she had already fallen in love with another human, named Catalin. Hyperion did not punish them and instead chose to continue his infinite life through the stars. His life was indeed endless, but he has never managed to find love and his two forms, the one of an angel, and the one of a demon, both harmed the girl. "Luceafarul" is the longest romantic poem ever made! It has held this record for much time now.

In my poem The Morning Star returns, but he realizes that 129 years have passed (since the writing of the original poem). He can't find Catalina among the living, so he returns to his interstellar traveling.

Enjoy and let me know what you think!
